Despina is an Occupational Psychologist with a strong interest in applied psychology, i.e. the practical application of the science of Psychology in everyday life. Her personal vision involves employing the latest trends in behavioral sciences to support individuals, teams and organizations be highly effective in what they set out to do. In her 1:1 counselling practice she helps clients cultivate their thinking flexibility and promote their problem-solving skills, either in response to challenges encountered and/or in their pursuit of personal growth. As an Organization Development practitioner, she supports organizations in designing and implementing people strategies and practices that balance business with individual needs, highlight the human side of the business and aim at translating human possibilities into successful initiatives. In the past she has worked as a Senior Human Resources Executive, in various organizations and multiple market sectors, a career that helped her gain deep expertise in people management issues, hands-on corporate experience, as well as an in depth understanding of the operation of human systems and the business world. Academically Despina holds a BSc in Psychology (Panteion University) and an MSc in Occupational Psychology (University of London). She has also completed a diploma in Positive Psychology (Hellenic Association of Positive Psychology), as well as the certification in REBT – Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (Hellenic Institute of Rational-Emotive & Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy – the affiliated training center of the Albert Ellis Institute in New York).
