Based on the Rational Emotive & Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (RECBT) approach of Albert Ellis.
This evidence-based approach is relatively short-term with long-lasting results (Ellis & Bernard, 2006).
Therapy provides children and adolescents with tools and techniques to enhance emotional health, self-regulation, and rational thinking.
Issues addressed include daily life challenges, self-acceptance, confidence, communication, frustration tolerance, interpersonal relationships, transitions (e.g., relocation, divorce), grief, and adjustment difficulties.
Empirical evidence supports the RECBT approach for addressing anxiety, stress, anger, ADHD, depression, OCD, oppositional behavior, trauma, eating disorders, substance-related beliefs, bullying, learning difficulties, academic underachievement, self-harm, absenteeism, and more.
